PassPulse operates the website passpulse.co.uk (the "Site"). For the purposes of UK data-protection law (the UK General Data Protection Regulation and the Data Protection Act 2018), we are the data controller. You can contact us at [email protected].
2. What data we collect
2.1 Information you give us
- Wait-time alerts: If you sign up for email notifications, we store your email address, the test centre you selected, and your target wait-time threshold. We use this solely to send you alerts when the wait drops below your chosen level.
2.2 Information collected automatically
- Analytics data: We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the Site. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects data such as your IP address (anonymised), browser type, operating system, referring URL, pages viewed, and time spent on the Site. This data is processed by Google under its own Privacy Policy.
- Server logs: Our web server automatically records standard log data including your IP address, browser user-agent string, the pages you requested, and the date and time. We use this data for security monitoring and to diagnose technical issues.
2.3 Information we do not collect
We do not collect payment information, your name, phone number, home address, or any data relating to your driving licence, test booking, or test results.

- To send wait-time alert emails you have requested.
- To analyse Site usage and improve content and performance.
- To maintain security and prevent abuse.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
6. Data sharing
We share data only with:
- Google (Analytics) — anonymised usage data as described above.
- Our hosting provider — who processes server logs on our behalf under a data-processing agreement.
We do not transfer personal data outside the UK except where Google processes Analytics data in accordance with its data-processing terms and appropriate safeguards.
7. Data retention
- Alert emails: Retained until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. You can unsubscribe at any time by emailing us.
- Google Analytics data: Retained for 14 months (Google's default), then automatically deleted.
- Server logs: Retained for up to 90 days, then deleted.
8. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Rectify inaccurate data.
- Erase your data ("right to be forgotten").
- Restrict or object to processing.
- Data portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format.
- Withdraw consent at any time (this does not affect prior processing).

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
9. Children
The Site is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16. If you believe we have, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
